Weird and Wonky meets Traditional Perfection. That’s Wearhouse Creations.
Wearhouse Creations was formed because we quite simply found that people enjoy our work. Our artistic styles compliment each other wonderfully and everyone can usually find something of ours that brings out a strong emotion or just makes them happy. Our passion for creativity sparked an idea, and here we are! We hope you enjoy our journey and we welcome you to join us and become part of our artistic community.
We met on April 27, 2003. At the time, we were creating music in an all-age drum and bugle corps and quickly found that we worked well together - although we have VERY different styles. After a marriage, a kiddo, and trying to get our “real job” schedules to sync (unsuccessfully), we decided that we would just pursue our art when we could. While Bill is still an educator during the day, Jenny retired from her job as an instructional assistant principal, so she currently has a little more time than he does (yes, he’s jealous). We create like crazy when we can, creating complementary art in the same space.
Bill was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. He is a teacher, musician, and father. His style is traditional, with clean lines and forms. His mark is the fleur de lis. Bill started his pottery career at Earthworks Pottery in Rome, GA and currently teaches weekly classes there.
Jenny is a life-long Georgian who is a retired high school administrator, musician, and mother. Her mark is the bean, because Bill’s nickname for her is “Sillybean”. Her style is…different. Jenny actively avoids perfection because she wants to look at her art and remember that she doesn’t have to be perfect every day. She embraces her wonkiness and encourages others to do the same!
